UD70 |
|
The UD70 is supplied as a large
option module that fits inside
the Unidrive. It contains a micro-processor
which provides a low cost facility
for a system designer to write
real-time application specific
programs, without the need to
resort to a PLC or other stand-alone
controller. The UD70 is programmed
using Control Techniques Drive
Programming Language (DPL Basic)
or IE1131-3 ladder/FBD and is
written using the SYPT Workbench
package.
The UD70 uses a dual port RAM
to interface to the main processor
inside the drive, providing
bi-directional communications
between the UD70 and the drive'
s internal processor. This enables
the UD70 to read any parameter
from the drive, and also write
to any read/write parameter
within the drive, providing
the capability to perform real-time
calculations for complex time-critical
process control systems.

Features |
|
- |
Supplied as large option
module and fits easily under
Unidrive Keypad |
- |
Task-based structure allows
easy implementation of real-time
control operations and fixed
timebase calculations |
- |
Seven separate programmable
tasks, listed from highest
to lowest priority:
INITIAL Runs once, immediately
after UD70 is reset/powered
up
EVENT Triggered by digital
input or the counter/timer
unit
SPEED Synchronised to internal
drive speed loop, runs every
1.38 or 1.84 ms
ENCODER Synchronised to
internal drive encoder loop,
runs every 5.52 or 7.36
ms
CLOCK Runs every fixed timebase
period, selectable from
5 ms to 100 ms
BACKGROUND Runs when no
other tasks are scheduled
ERROR Runs when an error
occurs, allowing a controlled
stop if the error is non-fatal
